Lexington Division of Police detectives have charged two individuals, Kenneth Honican and Amanda J. Eldridge in connection with the November 25th bank robbery of United Bank.

On November 25, 2014 at approximately 3:06 p.m., officers were called to the United Bank on Harrodsburg Rd. Police say two suspects robbed the United Bank on Harrodsburg Rd around 3:00 p.m. According to officials, Honican and Eldridge walked into the bank, passing the teller a note demanding money and implying that they had a weapon.

Today, Lexington officers arrested Mr. Honican in Lexington. Ms. Eldridge was arrested in Jessamine County, with the cooperation of authorities there.

A Kentucky woman who is serving time in a Tennessee prison for her role in a double murder case has been denied parole.

According to an NBC affiliate in Knoxville, Vanessa Coleman of Marion County is serving 35 years in prison for her facilitation of the torture and slaying of a Knoxville woman in 2007.

Coleman was convicted during a second trial of helping three men in an attack that killed Channon Christian. Christian’s boyfriend was also killed in the attack.

Investigators say that Christian was kidnapped, raped, tortured and left for dead. Coleman will not be up for parole again until 2020.

Baltimore County Police Department is asking for the public’s help in finding 61-year-old Douglas Vincent Clark of Dundalk.

Clark was last seen around 7 a.m. on Nov. 3 in the unit block of Graywood Road. He is 6 foot 1 with blue eyes and gray hair. He was last seen wearing black pants and a rust-colored jacket.

According to police, Clark requires daily medication and might not have the access to it.

Police searched for a missing Bullitt County man for weeks until he was eventually found dead in his garage Tuesday.

41-year-old Scott Newton went missing Nov. 22.

His body was found in a hard-to-get to area of his own garage. A private investigator, hired by Newton’s family, found him.

A cause of death hasn’t been determined.

There’s a new push to help identify the victims of a serial killer whose murders spanned several states, including Kentucky. And there’s a question of whether one of those victims could be a Lexington man missing for more than three decades.

Larry Eyler confessed to killing more than 20 young men back in the early 1980s in Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Wisconsin, and Kentucky. Not all of Eyler’s victims have been found, but now, one organization is hoping the public can help identify some of the ones that have.

Sent to an Illinois prison for murder in 1986, Larry Eyler died behind bars. Among the more than 20 young men Eyler admitted to killing, four were found buried in Indiana. Two of those victims have been identified, the other two have not.

A rendering of one, referred to as Brad Doe, has been circulated in the past. Now, the Facebook page Help ID Me has posted a new composite.

Once again, the name of a missing Lexington man has been brought up as one possible match. Last seen the night of March 27, 1982, investigators say 25-year-old James Thomas Kinskey was likely hitch-hiking when he disappeared.

Kinskey had a healed broken nose, the same as Brad Doe. And investigators have said the victim, possibly from Kentucky, was murdered the year after Kinskey went missing.

Newspapers and websites already link serial killer Larry Eyler to the murder of another Lexington man – 29-year-old Jay reynolds, a Transy grad killed March 22, 1983. His body was found in rural Fayette County near the Madison County line.

State police have never closed that case. For years, though, numerous newspapers and websites have linked Reynold’s death to Eyler. And, in 2010, an investigator was quoted in the Richmond Register as saying “KSP had a good lead on who Reynolds’ killer was,” but “the man died in prison before he could be brought up on charges.”

A frantic search continues for an 11-month-old baby whose mother was found murdered Monday. Police believe the baby could be in danger.

An Amber Alert was issued late Monday for Achilles Lambert. His father, 38-year-old Patrick Lambert is a suspect in his disappearance.

Police have also named Lambert as a person of interest in the murder of the baby’s 27-year-old mother.

Anastacia Oalikhena Lambert’s body was found Monday afternoon inside a refrigerator in southwest Houston.

Police say Lambert called 911 two months ago to report that her husband was threatening her with a knife. Officers went to the apartment that day but no charges were ever filed.

Police say a strong odor led a maintenance worker to the upstairs unit at the Braeswood Oaks apartments on Monday. He’s the one who found the body. He told KHOU 11 News that there was blood all over the floor.

Police said Lambert had been stabbed.

Homicide detectives were back at the complex at 10555 Fondren Road Tuesday to search for evidence. They removed the refrigerator Tuesday afternoon and took it to the crime lab for further testing.

According to police, Anastacia Lambert was last seen walking around the complex about two weeks ago. Neighbors recall often seeing her with a small child. She is originally from West Africa.

Patrick Lambert had lived several places including Clearwater Florida, New York and Hawaii.

Police told KHOU 11 News that the power at the apartment had been turned off back on November 20th because of a late payment.

The couple had apparently been living there since June.

A neighbor who didn’t want to be identified said he heard a strange noise coming from the apartment last week.

“You know how when somebody put something like hammer, put a nail through the wall, something like that?” he said. “It’s not like that but it was just going throughout the whole house so I just thought it was maintenance.”

“I can’t imagine who would do that or why someone would do that,” said neighbor Susan Washington. “You can’t help but feel the sadness for their family to have to find this and experience this.”

The victim didn’t have a job and had no family in the area which explains why no one realized she was missing.

They also don’t know what kind of vehicle Patrick Lambert was driving. One neighbor said he might have been a taxi driver.

The FBI has joined the investigation.

An Oldham County grandmother wants to thank two people who stayed by her daughter and grandson’s sides after a serious accident. After losing her daughter in that crash, she says finding them would mean a lot to her.

“He said Nana “these strangers, a man and a lady helped mommy and me at the accident. The lady stayed with mommy and kept talking to her,” says Deborah Miller, quoting her grandson.

But that is the only information that 5-year-old Brayden Miller could provide. Brayden was the sole survivor of the crash on Highway 146 last month. His mother Kendra Miller was driving when she ran off the road and crashed into a pole.

“He said that mommy went off the side of the road into the grass and he said we just kept going faster and faster,” says Deborah.

Deborah Miller is pretty certain that a medical issue is what caused her daughter to crash.

Strangers rushed to help Kendra Miller and Brayden. She spent weeks in the hospital in critical condition. On Saturday, she was taken off life support, leaving a son without a mother and a mother without her daughter.

“I’m having my ups and downs. I’m a little bit at peace, because I know she’s not struggling,” says Miller.

Deborah’s Christmas wish this year is to find the people who attempted to save her daughter’s life and comforted her grandson.

“I would love to meet them and I know Brayden would too,” says Deborah. “If she came up on a wreck in a situation and she could’ve helped somebody she would’ve too and she probably would’ve wanted to thank them in person if she were able.”

Kendra Miller will be remembered at the Oldham County funeral home from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturday December 13.

Meanwhile, Oldham County EMS and LaGrange Fire Department are working on a special surprise to bring her son some holiday cheer.

Prosecutors say they’ll seek the death penalty against a couple accused of killing a Martin County family.

State Police say Jack Smith and Amanda Bowen shot and stabbed Tina Goble, Cannie Johnson and Goble’s 8-year-old granddaughter Trinity in August, then set the house on fire.

Amanda Bowen is charged with three counts of murder, robbery, and tampering with physical evidence.

Jack Smith is charged three counts of murder, one count of first-degree robbery and one count of tampering with physical evidence. Smith is being held in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center without bond.

Prosecutors say the motive was robbery.

During the morning of November 26, 1995, a hunter discovered the skeletal remains of  a young white male in a remote wooded area on the bank of Turtle Creek in Bradford Township, Rock County, (near Janesville), Wisconsin. Forensics analysis determined that the young male was deceased for approximately one year, placing his time of death during the fall/winter of 1994. The cause and manner of death is undetermined. A black Aquatech watch was found on his left wrist and under the body was a pendant of a goat’s head handcrafted from a dinner fork. A Ft. Campbell military base resident was sentenced in U.S. District Court today by Senior Judge Thomas B. Russell to forty-one months’ imprisonment, followed by a three-year term of supervised release, for wantonly abusing her child, who at the time was under the age of 12, announced David J. Hale, United States Attorney for the Western District of Kentucky.

Shanika D’June Pickens, a/k/a Shanika Campbell, age 28, previously pleaded guilty to a two count Indictment charging that she wantonly abused the child by failing to provide the child professional medical attention for burns and for failing to provide the child adequate food and nutrition that resulted in his medical diagnosis of malnutrition.

Campbell had custody of her 3 children, including the victim in this case, known as K.V.P., who was under 12 years of age, while living on Ft. Campbell, Kentucky military base, located in Christian County, Kentucky. Between January 1, 2011 and September 30, 2011, the victim received burns to his right side and back areas. At that time, Campbell was aware of the burns and did not seek professional medical attention that was available on Ft. Campbell military base for her family. Campbell admitted that her failure to seek medical attention for the burns was wanton because she was aware of and consciously disregarded a substantial and unjustifiable risk that the child would suffer a serious bodily condition and ultimately experienced more pain and scarring to his back and right side areas than he would have experienced had he received timely and competent medical attention. The risk of that harm to K.V.P. was of such a nature and degree that the disregard of that risk constituted a gross deviation from the standard of conduct that a reasonable person would observe in the situation.

Further, between October 1, 2011 and January 30, 2012, Campbell failed to provide adequate food and nutrition to K.V.P. That condition resulted in his hospitalization at Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee, between January 28, 2012 and February 6, 2012. During that time, the minor victim was diagnosed with, among other conditions, malnutrition. Campbell admitted that her failure to provide adequate food and nutrition to K.V.P was wanton because she was aware of and consciously disregarded a substantial and unjustifiable risk that constitutes a gross deviation from the standard of conduct that a reasonable person would observe in the situation.

If convicted at trial, Campbell faced a sentence of no more than 10 years in prison, a fine of $500,000 and a three year period of supervised release.

This case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney David Sparks and was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Ft. Campbell, Kentucky, 502nd Military Police Battalion (CID).
