Pedophile Tracking Former Magic Shop Owner Pleads Not Guilty

Suspected child molester Neil Stammer pleaded not guilty Friday morning to charges, all more than a decade old, that he molested at least one child who visited his magic shop on Central Avenue in the late 1990s.

Stammer, 47, spent at least several years of the last 14 under an alias in Nepal, where he was working in a school teaching English and other languages to students trying to enter the United States.

The FBI said Stammer speaks 11 languages.

His true identity was discovered in a passport fraud investigation, and he was arrested and sent back to Albuquerque last week.

Bernalillo County District Attorney Kari Brandenburg said Friday that at least three alleged victims have come forward with allegations against him.

Stammer is facing charges of rape, kidnapping, witness intimidation and criminal sexual contact of a minor, according to authorities, stemming from at least one alleged instance of molestation in which Stammer took a 12-year-old boy to his apartment and assaulted him, police said.

Stammer was also an internationally renowned juggler at the time of his arrest, according to the FBI.

Pedophile Tracking Two Longview, TX Men Plead Guilty

Two Longview men charged with separate sexual acts toward children pled guilty Thursday and were given 25 years and eight years in prison, respectively.

Robert Gribble, 34, and Jacob Levi Myers, 24, will be transferred to the custody of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.

Gribble has been in the Gregg County Jail since April 25, 2013, after a child’s cry for help led to him being charged with two counts of continuous sexual abuse of a child.

http://liarcatchers.com/pedophile_tracking.html

A sworn statement by Longview police Detective Kevin Brownlee at the time said Gribble, who has been held on $500,000 bond, described several indecent acts he performed on two elementary school-age children. The incidents occurred from January 2009 through April 2013, the sworn complaint said.

Gribble was given 25 years but will be given credit for the 456 days he has served in jail.

Myers was arrested in January but released from the Gregg County Jail in May. He was arrested again Thursday after pleading guilty to three of four counts of sexual assault of a child.

The fourth charge against Myers, who had been held on $40,000 bond, was dismissed.

Private Detective, Lexington Subway Robbery

Police are searching for a suspect after a robbery at a Lexington restaurant Saturday morning.

It happened at the Subway on Nicholasville Road near Malibu Drive just after 9:00 a.m.

http://liarcatchers.com/contact.php

Police say a man with a white mask, white sweat shirt with hood up, and blue shorts came into the business armed with a gun. Police say he pointed the gun at the clerk and demanded money from the register. The clerk gave him cash, which he put in a grocery bag, and then ran out the back door of the strip mall where an apartment complex is located.

No word on whether someone picked him up in a car or he went into the apartments.

Police are checking with surrounding businesses for useful surveillance video. They’re also asking people in the area if they saw anything suspicious.

Two employees were in the store at the time. They were not injured.

Police say detectives will look at surveillance from other robberies in the area to see if this was connected.

Wrongful Death Body of 14 Year Old Armada, Michigan Girl Found

Police in northern Macomb County have confirmed a body found in a wooded area near a nature trail is that of a missing 14-year-old Armada girl — and that she was murdered.

Armada Police Chief Howard Smith said April Dawn Millsap’s mother reported her missing after the teen didn’t return home from walking her dog, which she does nearly every night.

April’s body was discovered along the Macomb Orchard Trail around 8:25 p.m. Thursday near Fulton and Depot roads, north of 33 Mile Road in Armada.

http://liarcatchers.com/wrongful_death.html

Her identity was confirmed the following day.

“An autopsy was conducted by the Macomb County Medical Examiner’s office today and revealed that the cause of death was a homicide,” Smith told reporters, Friday afternoon.

Michigan State police, the FBI, , Southeast Michigan Crimes Against Children unit, county and local police are all involved in the case.

MSP Ltn. Mike Shaw told WWJ’s Mike Campbell it was the dog that pointed to the girl’s location, 15 to 20 feet off the trail in a drainage ditch.

“Two joggers were going around the trail and a dog actually alerted that there was something amiss in the wood line,” Shaw said. “When they went to investigate what it was, that’s when they found the body.”

The Macomb Orchard trail is a paved hike and bike trail that runs 24 miles from Shelby Township to Richmond.

Police said Friday they were looking for a long gray box van that was seen in the area of the crime scene. This is described as a painters’ type van” with dents all over it. Police said they’re not yet sure how or if the van is connected to the case — but they want to speak with two white males spotted in the vehicle.

Detectives are also seeking information due to tips received of a small cc motorcycle, blue and white in color with a young male rider, wearing a black helmet that was seen riding on the trail near the time the victim was killed.

Anyone who was in a van like the one described or who knows someone who has that type of van is asked to call 877-616-4677. Tips may also be submitted online at www.michigan.gov/michtip

Wrongful Death Five People Indicted For Knox County Murder

A grand jury indicted five people for the murder of a Knox County father earlier this year.

Police say back in May, Donald Mills was shot to death in his home by two men pretending to be US Marshals.

Melinda Smith wore a shirt bearing the smiling face of her brother to court as a jury indicted five people for the murder of her brother, Donald Mills. She plans to wear it to every court date until justice is served.

http://liarcatchers.com/wrongful_death.html

“His picture is on there. That’s one thing about it, when they walk into that courtroom, they do have to look at his picture when they turn around. So I hope he haunts them until the day they die,” said Smith.

Friday, a grand jury indicted Patrick Baker and Christopher Wagner on charges of murder, robbery, unlawful imprisonment, impersonating a peace officer and tampering with evidence as well as four counts of wanton endangerment.

The indictment says Baker pulled the trigger that night. Smith says while Baker has been out of jail on house arrest since May, before being arrested in court Friday.

“I thought it was a very happy moment to see him arrested,” said Smith. “The way I look at it, you do the crime you do the time.”

Elijah Messer, Angela Mills and Stephanie Smith were also indicted on charges of murder and complicity to robbery for helping to plan or commit the robbery that caused Mills’ death.

While Smith isn’t sure when the five will go to trial, she says she’s willing to wait as long as it takes.

“If it takes two years for them to go to prison I’ll be there when they go,” said Smith.

All five pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Private Detective, Laurel County Woman’s Wallet Stolen With Wedding Ring Inside

A Laurel County woman is turning to the public for help after a man stole her wallet from a London store with her wedding ring inside.

Doris Jones was shopping at Save-a-Lot in London when she left her wallet on the cashier counter. Surveillance images capture a man entering the store, standing at the checkout, and slipping the wallet into his pocket. Then he,once again, leaves the store.

By the time Doris Jones realized she had forgotten her wallet, it was already gone.

http://liarcatchers.com/contact.php

“If you find something that doesn’t belong to you, you should give it back or turn it over to someone who can give it back to the right person because that’s very personal,” says Jones.

Inside the wallet were Jones’s wedding ring and a ring her husband gave her for their second anniversary.

The surveillance photos fail to show a distinct picture of the suspect’s face and, while Jones has given up hope to some extent, she’s counting on someone recognizing this man and turning him in.

“I think I’ve already decided in my heart I’m not going to get them back, but now it’s more like I just want some justice,” says Jones.

If you recognize the man in the photos, please contact London Police.
