Missing Person Grandson Person of Interest in Missing AZ Woman

Helen Jean Lee, the 78-year-old Arizona missing woman who vanished without a trace earlier this week, is believed to be dead and police have named her 40-year-old grandson as a “person of interest” in the case, according to a Nov. 1 report from the Associated Press.

Jason Howell, Lee’s grandson, was arrested following an unrelated incident of a carjacking and pursuit in Chandler Wednesday. Although he is only considered a person of interest in the Arizona missing woman case, court documents show that he is named the prime suspect in an active murder investigation, and bail was set at $300,000.

http://liarcatchers.com/missing_persons_investigations.html

It was revealed that Lee was reported missing from her home Wednesday, which is the same day her grandson was arrested in the theft of an SUV from a school, police say.

Police stated that they found evidence at Lee’s home that indicates that foul play was involved in her disappearance. Neighbors notified authorities after they became worried when Lee missed her regular church meeting on Tuesday night.

“Obviously if we haven’t heard from her, the church hasn’t heard from her, cell phones turned off, it’s pretty ominous in my opinion,” neighbor Don Morrison said.

Howell is facing kidnapping and other charges from the carjacking, however, he hasn’t been officially charged in the Arizona missing woman case as of yet.

A truck with the body of a missing person was pulled from the Ohio River Saturday afternoon. The truck was recovered from the water near Panama Street and Eldorado Avenue in the community of California, not far from where I-275 crosses the Ohio River. The Hamilton County confirms it’s believed the truck had been missing from Independence for about 2 years. The body inside had men’s clothing, but investigators say it could take some time to identify the remains.

Wrongful Death Palm Beach Nurse’s Death Ruled Homicide

The search for a missing school nurse and mother of three came to an end.  Overnight, investigators identified the body of a missing woman as Kimberly Lindsey.

The family of Kimberly Lindsay says they are having an ‘extremely difficult time’ as they try to comprehend what happened to their daughter and mother.

They had a hard time putting into words the pain and grief they are feeling as the family’s worst nightmare became a reality.

http://liarcatchers.com/wrongful_death.html

“None of us ever thought this would happen. Nobody ever does think it would happen. But when it does, it hits you so hard,” said Sofia Lambert.

Only two days ago, Kimberly Lindsey’s daughters made an emotional plea to the public to help find their mom.

Late Friday, the search came to a devastating end.

On Saturday, the missing person’s case turned into a homicide investigation.

Reports reveal there was a ‘violent confrontation’ at Lindsey’s home before she went missing.

Sources say her body was found in a remote area in Clewiston. She was lying face down in a sugarcane field. Her head was severed from her body.

On Saturday, Lindsey’s three daughters had this to say about their mother’s death:

“It breaks our hearts to have to write this, but our mom has passed away. There are no words to describe how we feel. This is an extremely tough time for us, but we will try to stay Kim strong.”

In the days following her disappearance, there has been an outpouring of support of Lindsey.

As recent as Friday night, a vigil was held. It was a sign Lindsey’s family was still holding out hope.

Hundreds of posts poured into Facebook Saturday from family members, friends and strangers.

Deborah Smith wrote:

“Kim and I were inseparable in high school We were more like twins than cousins. I will miss her always. I never imagines this would happen to her.”

Lindsey was last seen at parents’ weekend at Florida Gulf Coast University.  Her daughter was one of the last people to see her alive.

“It’s horrible. To be honest with you, I have no idea what to make of it. She made it all the way home and then disappeared. It’s crazy,” said FGCU classmate Blake Rizzolo.

Lindsey’s family in Texas spoke to us over the phone.

The wife of Lindsey’s step-dad says the last time she saw Lindsey and her daughters was over the summer when they visited East Texas for a few days.

The exact cause of Lindsey’s death is still unknown.

Private Detectvie Suspected Kidnapper in Aurora, CO Arrested

A man accused of abducting a girl from her bedroom has been arrested.

The Aurora Police Department praised the community for their help in the case, saying in a statement that since the incident Monday, they had received more than 200 tips. An arrest warrant for 26-year-old John Stanley Snorsky was signed Friday.

The 8-year-old victim was in her bedroom early Monday morning when the suspect allegedly climbed through her unlocked window and took her. The girl screamed, waking up her father, who ran outside to find his daughter sprinting back towards him from a nearby alley. She had managed to get away from her kidnapper, though police have not elaborated on how.

http://liarcatchers.com/contact.php

Aurora police put out at $20,000 reward for the suspect’s capture–the largest reward the police department had ever offered.

Snorsky was actually in custody for most of the search; he was reportedly arrested Tuesday morning for an unrelated violation, and had remained in jail the rest of the week. Police say they determined Friday that there was probable cause to charge him in the kidnapping.

Aurora police released this statement late Friday night:

The Aurora Police Department has made an arrest in Monday’s kidnapping. John Stanley Snorsky, 26, of Aurora has been charged with first and second degree burglary and second degree kidnapping. He is being held on $500,000 bond.

Snorsky was arrested on Tuesday morning in Aurora with the assistance of the Colorado Department of Corrections Division of Adult Parole for an investigative parole hold on an unrelated case. He has remained in jail since his initial arrest. The Aurora Police Department arrived at probable cause to charge him with the kidnapping today. An Adams County arrest warrant for the kidnapping was signed this evening.

We are extremely grateful to the community for the over 200 tips that came in during the week. We are also grateful to the Division of Adult Parole and to the Colorado Bureau of Investigation for their assistance in this investigation.

Police Chief Daniel Oates will be holding a press conference on Saturday November 2, at 12:00 p.m. This will take place outside on the west side of the Aurora City Hall building located at 15151 E. Alameda Pkwy.

The Aurora Police Department will offer no other comment besides the press conference. This case will now be turned over to the Adams County District Attorney’s Office.
