A Bixby woman turned her husband in to authorities after she found evidence of her husband allegedly sexually abusing a small child.

The Tulsa World reports (http://bit.ly/1hM6it4 ) that 38-year-old Matthew Todd Bartlett was arrested on Friday on four complaints of lewd molestation of a minor, four counts of violation of computer crimes act and one count of procuring a minor for purpose of a lewd act.

An arrest report filed Saturday says Bartlett’s wife told Bixby police she discovered images and videos on a computer in her house that allegedly showed Bartlett molesting a young girl. The report says the woman identified Bartlett’s hand in the video by a sore on his thumb.

Bartlett’s wife gave police the computer’s hard drive and said there were at least two more computers.

Missing Person Casey County Man Still Missing After 4 Years

Four years after a Casey County man went missing without a trace, investigators are still trying to piece together what happened.

The last time Charles Randolph was seen at his home was October 2009. As the autumn weather comes around once more, Randolph’s disappearance remains a mystery to the family he left behind.

“I just wait every day and think maybe I’ll hear something,” says Emogene Randolph, Charles’ mother.

http://liarcatchers.com/missing_persons_investigations.html

Charles was just 55-years-old when he went missing. Several months later, investigators started looking at it as a homicide investigation. His mother says the one last thing she wants is to find her son. “Somebody knows something. If they just come forward, they don’t have to give their names. They can tell what they know, and we can find out something. That’s what I want to do before I’m gone, and I’m 93 years old.”

Earlier this year investigators submitted several DNA samples for testing in hopes they will provide a clue as to how Charles vanished. They say they’re still waiting on results from that testing. The DNA was retrieved from the car Randolph was last seen in.

The family is still offering a $10,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest in relation to his whereabouts. “We’d see him pretty often every time we’d come passing by, and he would come over to our house, because my husband was sick at the same time that he left,” says Freda Elmore, Charles’ sister.

Randolph is still classified as a missing person. Investigators don’t know if he was murdered or not but they say they’re keeping an open mind until he’s found.

Deputies say they continue to receive tips and interview those who may have information on Randolph’s disappearance. If you have any information, call the Casey County Sheriff’s Department.

Missing Person Amber Alerts Issued for 9 Children in NM

An unprecedented nine-victim AMBER Alert remained active Saturday in Sierra County, New Mexico after authorities were unable to locate a group of children Friday allegedly living at a youth camp.

Sixteen-year-old Peter Adams, 17 year-old David Easter, 17 year-old Bryce Hall, 16 year-old Evan Kogler, 13 year-old Charlie Lamb, 13 year-old Mason Myers, 15 year-old Michael Rozell, 17 year-old Oscar Ruiz, and 16 year-old Ryan Sibbett have been missing since Friday.

http://liarcatchers.com/missing_persons_investigations.html

Despite reports from some media sources that at least one child has been located, nine names remain on the list of missing.

Law enforcement officials investigating abuse claims at the Tierra Blanca Youth Ranch in New Mexico issued the alert after they were unable to confirm the safety and whereabouts of the nine children on Friday. Authorities went to the youth ranch to serve a search warrant related to charges of abuse against the children.

The nine children range in age from 13 to 17, and are reportedly residents at the Tierra Blanca Youth Ranch in rural New Mexico. The Ranch’s Director, Scott Chandler, is also missing, and is presumed to be on the run with the nine youths. Authorities have named him as a “person of interest” in the childrens’ disappearances.

ABC News and CNN are now reporting that at least one child has been returned to his or her parents; however, the New Mexico State Police asserted in a statement to the press earlier today that an AMBER Alert will “remain active” until “authorities can physically confirm their well-being”.

Anyone with information about these missing children should immediately call the New Mexico State Police at (575)835-0741.

Identity Theft Las Vegas Woman Found with 1000 Identities

A 32-year-old Las Vegas woman was charged with 62 felony counts in a superseding indictment in one of the state’s most prolific identity theft cases to date, prosecutors said Friday.

Bridgette Chaplin faces multiple counts each of forgery, obtaining and using personal identification information of another, establishing or possessing a financial forgery laboratory, possessing personal identifying information to establish false status or identity and other charges.

http://liarcatchers.com/identity_theft_investigation.html

Las Vegas police said Chaplin was operating two forgery laboratories at an apartment complex at 2219 Rancho Drive, near Smoke Ranch Road, and at a home at 6005 Stone Hollow, near Mount Hood Street.

Police discovered about 1,000 identities along with forged documents at the two locations, prosecutors said.

“Chaplin had such a large amount of personal information of others(sic) persons that it would (be virtually) impossible to contact each and every victim, as some are no longer living and other (sic) cannot be located using investigative tools,” according to her four-page arrest report.

During the investigation, officers attempted to contact dozens of people whose identifications were found at the two forgery laboratories.

One man, whose driver’s license, social security card and bank card were found at the Stone Hollow location, told police those items were stolen during an auto burglary.

A woman said her driver’s license, passport, bank cards and Costco club card, which were found at the Stone Hollow home were also stolen during an auto burglary.

During the search of the Rancho apartment, police discovered checks in multiple stages of completion, including from the NVEnergy.

“Chaplin made a comment during the search that the checks we had found were ‘novelties,’ and admitted to printing them,” her arrest report said. She added that she could not be charged for printing novelties.

Chaplin was indicted on 43 charges in September. The superseding indictment added 19 charges.

On Friday, Judge Linda Bell raised Chaplin’s bail from $529,000 to $624,000 based on the new charges. Chaplin has remained jailed at the Clark County Detention Center since her June 22 arrest.

Meanwhile, Chaplin is representing herself in the case and has asked for a speedy trial, court records show. On Sept. 23 she pleaded not guilty to the original 43 charges.

An arraignment hearing on the new charges along with a status check in the case is set for Nov. 4.

Wrongful Death Clark County Man Pleads Not Guilty

It was a case that many considered had gone cold until police arrested Lonnie Martin for allegedly killing his cousin almost 20 years ago.

Police believe Lonnie Martin pushed his 21-year-old cousin, J.B. Martin, over a bridge in 1995. J.B. was then struck by a train. They suspected foul play but didn’t have enough evidence at the time. 18 years later, Martin was questioned over another murder case. During the interview, police say he made a statement that led to an arrest for J.B.’s death.

“It was a total shock, I did not see it coming whatsoever,” said J.B.’s mother Sharlene Neal.

http://liarcatchers.com/wrongful_death.html

“That troubles me a lot for the fact that he is a family member,” said the victim’s sister, Shannon Horn.

Martin has plead not guilty to that crime in Clark County, but he’s also facing another murder charge in Montgomery County.

The news that Lonnie Martin, a two-time murder suspect, plead not guilty to the 18-year-old case, was something the victim’s family expected.

“It wasn’t a surprise,” Horn said. “After 18 years of getting away with a crime why would you walk into court and plead guilty?”

J.B.’s family is still mourning his loss.

“There’s always going to be wounds, there’s always going to be pain and there’s always going to be hurt,” Horn said.

They say they have one question left: “Why?” But they know it’s an answer they may never get.

“I do want to look Lonnie right in the eye and let him know I am there for J,” Neal said.”The pain will never go away, but knowing there was justice for JB that helps a lot.”

“It won’t bring my brother back, but we do have the ability to say at least we know we don’t have to wonder anymore,” Horn said.

J.B.’s mother and sister plan to attend every court proceeding until a verdict is handed down.

Lonnie Martin’s next court appearance is scheduled for Dec. 5 for a pre-trial.
