A woman missing in a Bath County creek has been located alive and well.

LEX 18 reporter Adam Winer says he heard the woman calling out to him from the other side of Slate Creek just before 7:30 a.m. She swam across and Winer helped her out of the water to safety.

A family member says he picked Gloria Means in Montgomery County and was driving her home around 2:30 a.m. He says his cousin was upset and became more distressed as they were traveling. Means jumped out of the vehicle and went into Slate Creek.

Water rescue crews deployed boats, but eventually suspended the search due to the darkness and the high, swiftly running water.

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help locating an “at risk” Columbus John Steven Buchanan, 62, of 479 Frank Wilson Lane, Columbus, is described as a 5 ft. 10 inch man with blue eyes and brown hair.

He was last seen leaving his home around 10 a.m. July 21 driving his white 2008 Ford truck with a NC license plate TNM-5280.

Authorities do not know which direction Buchanan drove. Buchanan’s Sam’s Club card was used after he left in Spartanburg, S.C.

Det. Sgt. Robert Sieber says the sheriff’s office is working the case and that reports were that Buchanan left in a distraught state of mind. Sieber said according to Buchanan’s wife, he has never done anything like this before and left his cell phone and all contact information at home. Buchanan does need medication, but had it with him.

A Louisville mother is facing endangerment charges after her toddles was found wandering.

Police say 27-year-old Emilie Magaya reported her child missing after the toddler was picked up by late watch officers outside an apartment building.

Investigators say Magaya called them Sunday and said the 18-month-old had disappeared about two hours earlier from her apartment. But police say they found the child wandering outside the building about 12 hours before that and couldn’t find the child’s parent or a guardian.

Community members are still looking for Levi Schneider, an 18-year old Marion man who has been missing for two weeks.

Levi was last seen Sunday, July 7, at his grandparents’ home in Marion. His father Ray from Great Falls tells us that Levi’s grandparents left their house in Marion to run a quick errand, and when they returned, Levi was gone.

No one has been able to reach him on his cell phone, which reportedly went dead several days later.

Family and friends officially filed a missing person’s report last week and about 25 Marion residents formed search crews and set out looking for Schneider, or clues that may lead them closer to him, on Tuesday.

The 18-year-old’s family tells us he has run away in the past, but never for this long.

“He’s loved and we care about him. We really need to talk to him. We just need to know that he’s okay. We can work out whatever is going on [with him]- it’s no big deal and we can get through it,” Ray said.

Ray noted that Levi had recently shaved his head.

Officials have recovered the body of a 28-year-old Caldwell man who went missing in the Snake River in western Idaho over the weekend.

Payette County officials say they recovered the body of Daniel Bravo-Rodriguez on Monday morning.

Officials say Bravo-Rodriguez was swimming with several other people near Centennial Park in Payette when he went under water at about 6 p.m. Saturday.

Crews searched Saturday night and Sunday before finding the man’s body about a mile downstream on Monday.
