Private Detective: State Police Investigate Shooting in Estill Co.

Two people are recovering after their camper was riddled by gunfire in the early morning hours Monday.

State Police said that the camper had been parked off of Pea Ridge Road outside of Irvine.

The man was shot three times, once in the abdomen and twice in the leg. The woman had cuts to her face from glass and debris.

“I’m even afraid to walk outside at night because you never know, there’s so many woods around anybody can shoot you and get away with it,” said neighbor Vicky Norton.

The shooting happened on the property of the Free Riders Motorcycle Club. Their building burned down in September of last year and now the camper sits on its foundation.

Norton’s home is just yards away from that land.

“They never bother nobody, never loud, always friendly,” she said.

She said that the shooting scared her because one of the bullets could have easily hit her home and her children. Norton said that what happened Monday morning makes her consider putting her home up for sale.

“I hate to leave my home because I’ve lived here all my life,” she told LEX 18.

The man and woman in the camper at the time of the shooting are both expected to recover.

State Police say that it appears to be a targeted attack, and whoever is responsible for the crime remains at large.

Kentucky State Police confirmed that Hill was threatening to shoot police on the scene and had multiple firearms in his home. Police managed to make entry into the home and had to tase him to make the arrest.

It was believed that Hill was under the influence of alcohol.

He is charged with seven counts of attempted murder, wanton endangerment, terroristic threatening, and assault.

Private Detective: Man Accused of Attack at Transylvania University Arraigned

The suspect accused of attacking two women with a machete at Transylvania University on Friday made his first court appearance on Monday.

Mitchell Adkins, 19, faces multiple wanton endangerment and assault charges for the attack inside Jazzman’s Café. The university and nearby schools were forced into lockdown because of the attack.

In court on Monday, Adkins was arraigned and his bond was set for $25,500.

A witness inside the shop says Adkins pulled out the machete and began asking people about their political beliefs before attacking.

“He asked the first girl if she was a Democrat or a Republican. She said Republican. He said okay, then asked some other girl,” said Michael Soder, who witnessed the attack.

http://liarcatchers.com/contact.php

Those who witnessed the attack said that the attacker told the girl who identified as a Republican that she was safe. They say that the man then moved on to the next woman and that when she gave the attacker an answer he didn’t like, he stabbed her.

Students say Adkins wrote an article on Buzzfeed where he talked about his conservative views and how he was strongly opposed to what he believed was the school’s liberal position.

It is still unknown whether or not the two women are students at the university. Both sustained non-life threatening injuries.

On Monday morning, students returned to classes after the vicious attack and the two employees at Jazzman’s Café who helped protect the students were back at work. Students gave Erika Lyvers and Marcia Figgs hugs and told them how much they appreciated them.

Lyvers and Figgs, along with the campus police chief Gregg Muravchick, jumped in to help fight off Adkins. Lyvers even tried to hit him with a chair. Transylvania University’s President Seamus Carey assisted in getting Adkins subdued by helping police handcuff him, according to a campus spokeswoman.

Transy Police Chief Gregg Muravchick said that everyone was looking out for each other that day.

Adkins will be back in court June 7th.

Missing Person Body of Missing Ray Twp, Mich. Man Found in Shallow Grave

A missing person investigation leads to a body — found buried behind a house in Ray Township.

The Macomb County Sheriff’s Office said an inmate claimed to have information on a missing person’s case and that inmate led investigators to a home in Ray Township.

http://liarcatchers.com/missing_persons_investigations.html

The dismembered remains were found behind a house on Kunstman Road near 28 Mile behind a garage. A missing persons case has become a homicide investigation and the suspect in the murder is being held in the Macomb County Jail tonight.

“When I got up from my nap I heard the chopper flying around over head,”  said Roger Paterson, a neighbor. “In the back, it is a very shallow grave. There was piles of dirt on both sides.”

The disturbed patch of soil is where Macomb County sheriff deputies found dismembered remains.

Mario and Elisa Fiacco own the Ray Township home. The suspect, 19-year-old Andrew Fiacco lives here. He  was arrested on an open murder charge Thursday and is being held at the Macomb County Jail.

The sheriff’s department says an inmate led investigators here.

“(The inmate) was showing them the site of the burial,” Paterson said. “We don’t know if it was a girl or a boy.”

The sheriff’s department says this chilling discovery is connected to a missing persons case.

Sources tell us the remains found here belonged to a 19-year-old man who disappeared in March of last year. He lived in Macomb Township, just eight and half miles away from the scene in Ray Township.
