Private Detective: Agency Works To ID Boy Struck by Train in 1921

At a Georgetown Cemetery, you’ll see many names, but one gravestone has the words “some mother’s boy” etched into it.

The teen buried there was killed by a train back on April 1, 1921, but to this day, has never been identified.

It has been 96 years since the accident, and the boy struck by the train has never been identified.

“To my knowledge, I don’t know of any other cases at this time where we have unidentified remains we’ve not been able to solve in Scott County,” said Assistant Chief Robert Swanigan with the Georgetown Police Department.

http://liarcatchers.com/contact.php

On Friday, the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NAMUS) will attempt to solve the mystery.

They are exhuming the body and hoping that DNA evidence could match this victim with a family.

“He’s not from Georgetown. He deserves to go home to where he was born and raised,” said Scott County Coroner John Goble.

The FBI recently started processing these cases for free. It used to cost up to $7,000.

Private Detective: Winchester Man Sentenced to 24 Months for Hacking Into Website

The man who admitted to hacking into a website during the 2012 Steubenville, Ohio rape case was sentenced to 24 months in prison Wednesday.

Deric Lostutter pleaded guilty to charges of illegally accessing a computer and lying to an FB agent.

He admitted that in December 2012, Lostutter and Noah McHugh hacked into a fan website created for Steubenville High School sports teams. Two of the school’s football players had been arrested in August 2012 and were being held in custody. The Department of Justice said that Lostutter said he hacked the website to not only draw attention to the rape case, but to gain publicity for his online identity, and to harass and intimidate the website’s owner.

http://liarcatchers.com/contact.php

In a video, Lostutter, who was wearing a mask, threatened to reveal personal, identifying information of Studebenville High School students. Documents also show that he falsely claimed that the administrator of the sports fan website was a child pornographer and directed a “rape crew”. The video was publicly posted along with a manifesto, and the victim’s private emails were downloaded and posted to the website.

Documents say that on or around April 16, 2013, Lostutter knowingly and willfully made false statements to agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation by saying he had not written the manifesto and that he had not accessed the password-protected account management page of the website, and that he had not changed the password for the website.

“Ensuring proper online security and privacy is critically important to all of us,” said Carlton S. Shier, IV, Acting United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Kentucky. “Computer hacking and cyber harassment create real victims, causing enormous damage to real people, organizations, and institutions. This type of conduct simply cannot be tolerated and the great work of our FBI partners in this matter validates our ongoing efforts to protect the public from illegal computer intrusions and other cybercrime.”

Lostutter will be on supervised release for three years following his sentence. The Department of Justice also said that he was issued a $5,000 fine.

Private Detective: Three People Charged in Multiple Robberies

Three people have been charged in connection with multiple robberies in the Cardinal Valley area.

Investigators say that two suspects in the investigation, 20-year-old Lanisha Harris and a 17-year-old male, were both arrested on Saturday, March 4. The teen was charged with four counts of robbery 1st, receiving stolen property (firearm), possession of a handgun by a minor, resisting arrest, giving a false name, and possession of marijuana.

Harris was charged with two counts of robbery 1st.

Lucio Sanchez, 19, was arrested Wednesday, on four counts of robbery 1st.

Investigators say that the trio is believed to be involved in a crime spree that happened in the overnight hours of Wednesday, March 1.

http://liarcatchers.com/contact.php

Police say that shortly after midnight, a man told police he had been approached by two individuals on Cambridge Drive. One pulled a gun on him and robbed the man of his wallet and belongings. As the victim ran away, the suspects fired multiple shots, striking the victim once in the arm.

An hour later, police say they responded to Oxford Circle where a victim said she had been robbed at gunpoint by two men and a woman. The victim was pushed to the ground and one of the suspects fired a shot at her. She was not hit. The suspects fled.

As officers investigated the second robbery, they say they were flagged down by a man and woman who stated they were robbed near Oxford Circle and Cambridge Drive. Their descriptions of the suspects matched what the victim in the previous incident had reported, that an armed robbery had been committed by two men and a woman.

Around 6 a.m., police responded to a business on Alexandria Drive in reference to a robbery with shots fired. The victim told officers that she and a friend were approached by two men who attempted to rob them and that one of the suspects pulled out a gun and fired a shot. Police say that an employee at a nearby business came outside and attempted to stop the suspects. One of the suspects fired several shots before fleeing the area.

Detectives say that they identified Sanchez and the juvenile as suspects in all four incidents and they determined that Harris was involved in two robberies.

Anyone with additional information about this investigation is asked to call Lexington Police at (859) 258-3600.
