Police in Harrodsburg say they discovered drugs and a gun stolen from a Lexington police officer during a traffic stop last week.
Officers pulled over a car last Wednesday along Park Place. Police say the vehicle was involved in an ongoing drug trafficking investigation. According to police, officers smelled marijuana and alcohol when they approached, and called in a drug-sniffing K9. When the dog indicated the presence of drugs, officers searched the car and found cocaine, a small stash of marijuana and a large amount of cash. Police say they also found a 9mm Glock that was later identified as a weapon stolen from a Lexington police officer. Officers say they found two addition weapons, later determined to be BB guns made to resemble an AK47 and M4 assault rifle.

Police arrested the driver of the car, a juvenile, and an adult, Algernon Buster, and charged them with trafficking in a controlled substance, receiving stolen property and other crimes.
