Kansas City Police said in a press release Friday that they have not yet had the opportunity to sit down one-on-one to speak with missing Baby Lisa Irwin’s mother, Deborah Bradley.
For months police have requested the one-on-one meeting with Deborah. The press release states:
“While communication with the [Irwin] family has been ongoing, police have not had the opportunity to sit down one-on-one to speak with Lisa’s mother, Deborah Bradely.

“As the only adult in the home at the time of the baby’s disappearance, police continue to have questions to which only she can provide answers.”
The press release further states:
“Police have exhausted leads provided by Lisa Irwin’s family and their attorneys, and the leads were of no benefit to the investigation.”
According to the press release, detectives continue to actively investigate the case as the one-year anniversary of Baby Lisa’s disappearance nears. KCPD and their FBI partners have investigated 1,667 tips since 10-month-old Baby Lisa went missing from her Kansas City, Missouri home in the 3600 block of North Lister in the early morning hours of October 4, 20122. They are checking into about a dozen tips at present.
Five hundred of the total tips received have been infant sightings across the U.S. and internationally. KCPD thanked FBI agents and other law enforcement agencies, domestically and overseas, who investigated each of the sightings. Unfortunately, none of them were determined to be Baby Lisa Irwin.
A KCPD detective and FBI agent actively work the case almost daily and are looking for quality tips. They have gone over nearly 100 previously closed leads and re-interviewed involved parties to ensure they had not missed something.
They and Crime Lab analysts also have re-evaluated several pieces of forensic evidence and dozens more detectives stand at the ready to investigate a break in the case.
Detectives remain hopeful that quality tips will lead them to Lisa. The Press Release addressed a long-standing issue in this and other missing persons’ cases – tips that stem from social media and online rumors that detract from detectives’ ability to work legitimate case leads.
They said that several tips in Baby Lisa’s case that stemmed from social media and online rumors were reported, and that those tips have caused a distraction that took detectives away from their work.
