WATERLOO, Iowa (AP) — An Iowa man who dressed as a woman as part of his scheme to pass bad checks has been sentenced to prison.
The Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier reports (http://bit.ly/VQiIrJ ) that 44-year-old Paul Cannon, formerly of Davenport, has been given 10 years on convictions for theft, identity theft and forgery.

Authorities say Cannon wore women’s clothing when he used information he had about a woman to get a driver’s license in her name. Then Cannon opened an account at Veridian Credit Union.
Authorities say Cannon also posed as the woman as he held two jobs in Waterloo.
