One of two inmates who escaped from the Marion Adjustment Center last week was spotted Monday morning when he allegedly stole a car during a test drive from a Nelson County car dealership.
Bardstown police received a stolen vehicle report at about 9 30 a.m. Police were told that a salesman with 44 Auto in Bardstown had been providing a test drive and was driving Ronny Stutes in a light green Ford Escape. Stutes allegedly requested the salesman go inside Walmart to surprise his daughter as he explained the vehicle purchase was a gift to her. When the salesman returned the vehicle and Stutes were gone.

Police say the salesman identified the suspect as Stutes. Stutes is wanted for escape after escaping from the Marion County Adjustment Center on November 2. Stutes is described as a white male, 5-10 approximately 205 lbs, brown hair, brown eyes wearing glasses.
The stolen vehicle is a 2004 Ford Escape, light green in color with Kentucky license plate 252-DEJ. Police believe Stutes may be headed to the Lexington area.
