Charleston Fire Department responded to a fire at a home located at 1547 Garfield Avenue on the West Side Hill.
Emergency crews got to the scene of a fully involved fire with flames coming out of the roof and walls of the vacant one-story house.
Nineteen firefighters, four fire trucks, two EMS unit, and one rescue unit responded to the scene.
The cause of the fire has now been ruled arson.

It is under investigation by Charleston Police and Charleston Fire departments.
