A female driver died in a vehicle crash on Interstate 64 late Friday.
The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office tells LEX18 that the 22-year-old driver of a red 2012 Toyota Yaris was traveling westbound when she left the roadway just before 10:30 p.m. at around the 57-mile marker and struck a guardrail end.
The driver was not wearing a seatbelt, according to police on the scene, and died from head trauma on impact.

Police say there were no passengers in the vehicle.
A cause for the crash has not yet been made public.
The right lane of Interstate 64 westbound was closed for a little over an hour.
This case is under investigation by the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.
