Wrongful Death Lexington Murder Suspect Turns Himself In

The man wanted for the murder of a Lexington man earlier this month turned himself in to police after arriving at LEX 18’s studios Monday morning.

Brandon Lamont Bailey, 28, was wanted for the shooting death of Anthony Logan, 22, who was killed December 1 in front of the apartment of Logan’s sister on Cambridge Drive. Police say Bailey shot Logan after the two were involved in a fight. A warrant was issued for Bailey the following day.

Bailey arrived at LEX 18’s studios at about 10 a.m. Monday, saying he wanted to turn himself in. Police were called and arrived shortly after. Bailey said he had a bus ticket to Louisiana and he planned to hide out with family there, but that family members convinced him to turn himself in because he claims he shot Logan in self-defense.
