Wrongful Death Adam Grimes of Eaton Township, OH Arrested

EATON TOWNSHIP, Ohio — The Lorain County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a woman was found dead inside a home Tuesday night.

It happened just after 11 p.m. in the 10100 block of Avon-Belden Road in Eaton Township.

According to the sheriff’s office, a concerned citizen called for help after 25-year-old Adams Grimes said he had “done something awful” to his girlfriend, and believed he had killed her.

Deputies responded to Grimes’ home — where he was waiting outside — and arrested him.

After entering the home, deputies found the body of 29-year-old Melanie Hruby. Officials said she suffered from “obvious signs of blunt trauma,” and called the Lorain County Coroner’s Office to the scene.

Grimes was taken to the Lorain County Correctional Facility. He will appear in the Elyria Municipal Court Wednesday morning on charges of aggravated murder and felonious assault.
