MERCER — Skeletal remains found in the woods in Mercer County are those of a missing 80-year-old man.
Donald Lee Mariacher’s death has been ruled accidental and due to environmental exposure, state police at Mercer said.
Police said Mariacher had been missing from his Perry Highway residence since July 13. Several searches failed to find him.
On Dec. 1, skeletal remains were discovered in a wooded area in East Lackawannock Township. Police said the remains were identified as those of Mariacher.
