Oneida County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested a Rome woman for using a relatives’ personal information to get a credit card.
Deputies say 24-year-old Melissa Brown of Turin Street was charged with identity theft after an investigation showed that Brown used a relatives’ name, date of birth and social security number to open a credit card online.

She then spent over $500 on the credit card before it was discovered and the account was closed, according to deputies.
Brown was issued an appearance ticket.
