Police in Madison County are searching for a man they say robbed a drug store.

The incident happened on January 29 at the CVS pharmacy on East Main Street in Richmond. The clerk reported that at about 9:30 p.m. a white male entered the store and shortly thereafter approached the counter with a package of cookies. The man then provided the clerk with some change to pay for the cookies. When the clerk opened the cash register, the man struck the clerk in the face with his hand and reached into the cash register.
