The husband of a woman found dead along the side of a road in Letcher County early Thursday morning has been arrested.
Officials say Connie Elswick, 35, was found dead along Cram Creek Road in Mayking around 3:30 a.m. Letcher County police said that her husband, Roger Elswick, has been arrested and charged with first-degree wanton endangerment in the case.

LEX 18 has obtained an arrest citation which says Roger Elswick’s husband told state police that he and his wife got into a fight and he left heir home in his vehicle. The document says Connie Elswick held onto the trunk of his vehicle and he kept driving. At some point, he says his wife fell off onto Cram Creek, where she was found dead.
An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday in Frankfort.
