One year after a 53-year-old Apple Valley man reportedly began sexually abusing two young girls, he pleaded not guilty to charges of lewd and lascivious acts with a child and molestation in Victorville Superior Court on Thursday.
Robert Lee Fletcher is accused to sexually abusing the girls, ages 8 and 9, for nearly one year, according to a complaint filed by the San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office.

San Bernardino County Sheriff’s authorities said the investigation is ongoing and they feel there may be additional victims. Family members reported the crime to Apple Valley station authorities Monday. The case was then handed over to the Crimes Against Children Detail.
The crimes reportedly took place while Fletcher was living in an Apple Valley home, where the two girls also reportedly lived.
Detectives conducted an investigation and Fletcher was arrested early Tuesday morning at sheriff’s headquarters in San Bernardino, booking records show.
Records show Fletcher has an extensive arrest record including arrests in the 1980s for various sexual offenses including unlawful sexual contact with a minor.
Fletcher is scheduled to be back in Victorville court on March 28.
