Police have confirmed a fatality in an accident between two pickup trucks in Madison County Thursday afternoon.
The accident happened at about 1:30 p.m. on Kentucky 21 near Berea. Police say a Ford pickup truck was heading east and crossed the center line. The driver tried to swerve back, but it was too late and he struck a Chevrolet pickup carrying an older couple nearly head-on.

The older man and woman were flown to UK Hospital with critical injuries. LEX 18 learned at about 3 p.m. that the man in the Chevrolet died from his injuries.
The other driver had less serious injuries. So far, there is no word on the condition of the woman in the Chevrolet.
