A Laurel County man is dead after an early morning crash over the weekend.
The accident happened just before 1:30 a.m. Saturday Kentucky 490. The sheriff says 34-year old Chad Purvis lost control in a curve and hit a tree. He was cut out of the car and rushed to St. Joseph Hospital in London, where he later died.

Investigators say the cause of the crash is under investigation.
