Authorities are searching for a 19-year-old man they believe was kidnapped on Saturday from a Johns Creek neighborhood.
Johns Creek Police say the boy went missing from his residence on the 10700 block of Morton Crossing around 10 a.m. on Saturday morning.
The family of the young man, Aftab M. Aslam, reported receiving a text message letting them know he has been kidnapped.
Authorities have since downgraded this case from a kidnapping to a missing person case after Johns Creek investigators and FBI agents recovered the phone used to text the family, and found that Aslam had purchased it earlier that week.
