The man accused in a February murder in Bourbon County has entered a guilty plea to second-degree manslaughter.
Herbert Jones, Jr., 58, was accused of beating 51-year-old Ernest Waugh to death. Waugh’s sister told LEX 18 that Jones got into a fight with a woman who was staying with Waugh. She says Waugh stepped up to protect the woman and claims Jones lashed out at Waugh with a chair.

Jones will be formally sentenced July 9. He faces up to seven years.
