A 19-year-old man was killed when the vehicle he was driving in collided with a semi on Interstate-64, according to the Scott County Sheriff’s Office.
Zachery Riley of Frankfort was pronounced dead at the scene by Scott County Coroner John Goble.
Riley was reportedly driving a Toyota minivan eastbound in the westbound lanes on I-64 near mile marker 70 when the crash happened at around 3 a.m. Sunday, say county authorities.

The driver of the semi, a UPS truck, tells police police that he attempted to avoid the oncoming vehicle, but the minivan struck the semi mainly on the passenger-side front wheel.
The driver of the semi was uninjured in the crash, say police.
The interstate was shut down for a few hours as police investigated.
The Scott County Sheriff’s Office tells LEX18 that the collision remains under investigation.
