A 48-year-old Waterloo woman accused of using her mother’s identity to open a credit card account has been given probation and ordered to make restitution.
The Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier reports that Sharon Healey pleaded guilty last week to charges of forgery and identity theft. Under her plea agreement, Heavy was given five years to prison, but the term was suspended to three to five years of probation.

Court records say she forged checks on accounts of two businesses for which she did taxes. Records say she cashed the checks between January 2011 and August 2011.
The records also say Healey obtained a credit card under her mother’s name in June 2011 and made $11,000 in purchases and collected $1,100 in cash advances.
She told investigators she had gambling problem.
