The Russell County coroner said one person was killed in an accident on the Louie B. Nunn Parkway early Tuesday.
The accident happened at about 5:30 a.m. in the eastbound lanes about 1/4 mile from the Russell Springs exit. Officials say 40-year old Deanna Burton of Russell Springs was ejected from the vehicle and was killed. Another occupant of vehicle, Johnny Brandt, was flown to the hospital. His condition is unknown.

At this point, police are not sure who was driving or what caused the accident.
