Identity Theft Poplarville, Mississippi Man Faces 22 Years

A 47-year-old Poplarville man faces up to 22 years in prison for wire fraud and aggravated identity theft involving checks he stole from someone’s home.

The Sun Herald reports (http://bit.ly/1alXkRP ) Cleveland Andrew Galloway has pleaded guilty to wire fraud and aggravated identity theft and will be sentenced in federal court Nov. 25.

An indictment returned in July accused him of stealing the checks and using them to put thousands of dollars into two different bank accounts that used variations of his name. The nine-count indictment also charged him with bank fraud.
