A man convicted in connection of the killing of his wife was sentenced in the case in Madison County Friday.
Jason Singleton pleaded guilty to disposing of Angela Frazier-Singleton’s body, but claims he did not kill her. In court, Singleton claimed his girlfriend, Christina Marcum, strangled his wife.
Singleton says after consuming some prescriptions, he cut up his wife’s body and tried to hide her remains.

On Friday, Singleton was sentenced to 20 years for complicity to murder, five years for evidence tampering and five years for abuse of a corpse, with all of the sentences to be be served consecutively. He was also sentenced to for a standoff with Somerset police, but those charges are to be served concurrently with his other charges.
