A Stanton man died in a Powell County crash Sunday afternoon.
Police say Donald R. Jones, 63, was heading south along Furnace Road (KY-213) around 2:15 p.m. when he lost control. His car crossed the center line, went off the opposite shoulder and crashed into a tree. The coroner pronounced Jones dead at the scene.

Police say they think alcohol was a factor in the crash.
