Deputies and detectives in Allegan County are looking for a missing Hamilton teen. Investigators say that she may be in the company of a 34-year-old man who she met online. Rachel Marie Baker was last seen around 11:00 p.m. Monday night. She was discovered to be missing early Tuesday morning. She is known to have been in contact with a man from California. Police say that the man had come to Michigan two weeks ago and has been in contact with Baker. Rachel’s mother found a letter left by her indicating that Rachel wished to be with this subject and it is believed they might have left the area together. Police tracked the girl with a K-9 from her bedroom window to a location across the street where is appears she may have gotten into a vehicle. Baker’s mother says that the girl has run away overnight in the past, but returned. Police are trying to locate her and 34-year-old Joseph Young Arpin. He is a white male with brown hair, 5’10” tall and weighs about 280 pounds. He is from San Jacinto, California and may be driving a 1999 Ford Mustang, burnt orange in color, and bearing expired California registration of 4GLK114. Baker is described as a 13-year-old Native American. She is about 5’4″ tall, weighs about 140 pounds and has short collar length dyed multi-color hair (pink, yellow, green and blue). She was last wearing blue pajamas, black hooded sweatshirt with Kentucky printed on front, and grey boots.
