Pedophile Tracking Friendswood, TX Man Faces Felony Charges for Teen Prostitution Ring

A lurid story of money and prostitution continues to unfold in the teen sex ring investigation involving the recent arrest of Friendswood resident Michael Wayne McIntosh, 62, who is accused of having sexual encounters with multiple underage girls in exchange for money.

According to Galveston County court documents, McIntosh was kicked out a Webster restaurant last February for trying to solicit sex from waitresses. But, the trouble didn’t stop there. In the months that followed McIntosh continued to flirt with waitresses at Clear Lake area sports bars; giving his favorites large amounts of money in tips each time he visited. The gradual grooming process escalated to luring his victims to his Friendswood home where he continued to hand out cash; growing more aggressive with each visit and demanding sexual favors, according to court records.

One 15-year-old victim told forensic interviewers she visited the suspect’s home with a 17- year-old friend for the “sole purpose of getting money.” By the second visit, the girl said McIntosh started talking about graphic sexual activities and becoming more pushy. On the third visit, the suspect allegedly demanded sex and when the girl refused, McIntosh allegedly forced himself on her. Afterwards, the suspect handed over $800 and told the girl not to tell anyone because “Our business is our business,” according to court records.

Webster Police Detective David Nettles said the investigation was launched after school officials from Clear Creek Independent School District contacted him when rumors were heard involving a man known as “Money Mike” having inappropriate relationships with multiple high school students.

“We contacted parents and victims began to come forward,” Nettles said when contacted by The Citizen.

Court records indicate five 15-year-old girls and three 17-year-old girls told police a disturbingly similar story of being driven to the suspect’s home by a 17-year-old female acquaintance, someone detectives now alleged acted as McIntosh’s pimp and took a cut of each girl’s payout.

It is thought the suspect’s young accomplice could have entered his world as a victim at first before starting her own private prostitution business by pushing younger girls she considered “easy to manipulate” to meet with the suspect.

On Thursday (Nov. 7) detectives arrested the 17-year-old girl on felony charges of Compelling Prostitution. She was taken to the Galveston County Jail and later released on $40,000 bond. A grand jury is expected to consider the charges in the coming weeks.

McIntosh was arrested on three felony charges of Sexual Assault of a Child and later released on bonds totaling $120,000.

“We believe there could be many more young girls who were victimized by the suspect,” Nettles said. “Some may be scared or embarrassed to talk about what happened but we need their help and ask they come forward.”

Anyone with information related to the case is urged to call Webster Police Detective David Nettles at 281-316-4169.
