Police were looking Saturday night for the driver of a Hummer that fatally struck a motorcyclist early Saturday morning, then left the scene and drove with the motorcycle lodged beneath it for four or five miles.
The motorcyclist, a man wearing a helmet, was thrown from his bike and pronounced dead at the scene, said Alicia Smiley, spokeswoman for the Louisville Metro Police Department.
Deputy Coroner Larry Carroll identified the victim as Brandon Grigsby, 25, of Irvington, Ky., in Breckinridge County.

The collision occurred shortly before 5 a.m. at Blue Lick Road and Oak Leaf Lane, Smiley said.
Carroll said he pronounced Grigsby dead at 7:18 a.m. He said he was killed by blunt force trauma.
Witnesses described the Hummer as “dark-colored,” Smiley said. Witnesses also told police the motorcycle became stuck beneath the Hummer and dislodged about four or five miles away from the wreck.
