Federal prosecutors say an Alabama man has been sentenced to more than eight years in prison for his role in an identity theft and tax fraud scheme.
Authorities said Thursday that Kevin Jackson, of Montgomery, was also ordered to serve three years of supervised release after his 102-month sentence and is ordered to pay more than $150,800 in restitution.

Investigators have said they found a computer, three cellphones, at least 500 names and social security numbers of identity theft victims and at least 70 prepaid debit cards in Jackson’s storage locker.
Officials say Jackson has already pleaded guilty to access device fraud and aggravated identity theft.
