A Wolfe County man was sentenced to 40 years in prison accused in the death of his cousin.
Lloyd Bryant pled guilty to murder and other charges in the violent stabbing death of 44-year-old Robert Bryant, who made the mistake of letting his unemployed cousin live with him.
Three months in, police say Lloyd and his then girlfriend, Rebecca Wright, turned on Bryant, stabbing him at least 15 times and slitting his throat before stealing his vehicle. A crime now three years later, loved ones still don’t understand.

“You killed my dad who was your family, and I hope it drives you nuts everyday,” said Andrea Bryant, the victim’s daughter. “Instead of the 40 years, I’d rather have him have the remorse.”
Lloyd Bryant will testify against his ex Rebecca Wright in her murder trial next year.
