A Lewisville man is facing 14 charges, including 12 felony charges, in Watonwan County District Court related to sexual abuse of children during a six-year period.
Bernard Kleinschmidt Jr., 39, was arrested after admitting to numerous sexual acts with two underage girls, according to the criminal complaint.
The complaint states his hands were “shaking profusely” when initially questioned by police about an allegation. He allegedly agreed to talk with police at the scene and willingly went with them to the police department.

The complaint said the sexual contact between him and the victims ranged from the victims dancing nude in front of him to touching of genitals to rape.
Kleinschmidt admitted to sexual contact with the victims, who he knew, during various periods that lasted from the time they were 5 or 6 years old to the time they were 9 or 10 years old, according to the complaint. He allegedly admitted to about 20 sexual encounters with one of the victims since the time she was 5 or 6.
He also allegedly indicated he likely had child pornography on his computer. Pornographic photographs, which allegedly involved underage girls, and the computer were seized during a police search of his residence.
He was charged this week with numerous counts, including six felony counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, three felony counts of second-degree criminal sexual conduct and two gross misdemeanor counts of fifth-degree lewd exhibition.
Kleinschmidt’s bail was set at $150,000 with conditions and $300,000 without conditions.
He is scheduled for a court appearance Tuesday.
