A motorcyclist was killed in a crash on a major Lexington road Tuesday afternoon.
The Fayette County Coroner said 26-year-old Mark Ramey was driving a motorcycle when he crashed with a pickup truck.
Investigators said Ramey was headed outbound on Tates Creek Road, when he struck a pickup truck that was attempting to turn from the inbound lanes of Tates Creek Road, onto Duval Street.

The crash happened at around 3:40 p.m. and the Coroner said Ramey was pronounced dead at 4:15 p.m. after being taken to UK Hospital.
The driver of the truck was also taken to UK, but his injuries appear to be minor.
Annesha Earlbauter, who says she has medical experience and helped perform CPR on Ramey, said he had several broken bones.
“We managed to get a very low pulse, so we contained doing compressions until the EMT came,” she said. “We hooked up the bag and continued sound compressions without oxygen.”
The road was reopened by 6 p.m.
