Officials say remains in a vehicle pulled from Lake O’ the Pines today are those of a person who has been missing since 1987.
Texas Department of Public Safety trooper Carlos Wilson said DPS received a call from a fisherman Thursday who said he found the vehicle in the water while fishing near Bullfrog Marina on the north side of the lake.
Texas game wardens and the Marion County Dive Team began searching at about 10 a.m. and found the vehicle.
A wrecker was able to pull the vehicle from the water.

Wilson said the victim was that of a person who went missing March 16, 1987, but he did not reveal specifics about the case.
