By law Sex Offenders have to register all of their online social media websites/profiles with their local law enforcement, and during the course of KRCCU’s investigation they identified Brady as having an online profile which was not registered.
The KRCCU was able to establish contact Brady using an undercover persona of a 13-year-old female and a conversation then ensued between the sex offender and the undercover detective.
According to authorities, Brady allegedly sent messages about wanting to engage in a sexual relationship with the 13-year-old female, and he is also suspected of sending nude images of himself to the female, and requesting nude images of the girl in return.
Brady then made arrangements to meet the 13-year-old female in a local Kirksville parking lot Saturday to engage in sexual activity in the back of his van.
The KRCCU along with officers from the Kirksville Police Department were on scene Brady arrived and he was subsequently placed under arrest.
Brady is currently being held at the Adair County Sheriff’s office.
