Missing Person Man Charged With Kidnapping in Plano Woman Case

Plano police said they charged a 24-year-old man with aggravated kidnapping in the case of the missing Plano woman Christina Morris.

Detectives executed an arrest warrant for 24-year-old Enrique Gutierrez Arochi Saturday just before 8 a.m. atĀ Arochi’s home in Allen. Arochi was later transferred to the Collin County Jail and booked on a $1 million bond.

Police said the arrest comes after DNA evidence found in Arochi’s car came back positive matching the 5 foot 4, 95 pound woman.

Arochi told police during the beginning phases of the investigation Morris was never in his car. Police did not say which type of DNA was in the car, but they said what they found is enough to charge Arochi for aggravated kidnapping.

The new physical evidence now moves this investigation from a missing person case to a criminal case. Investigators confiscated Arochi’s 2010 Chevy Camaro and took evidence from his home Saturday where he lives with his parents.

Police said they are still unaware of Morris’ location, and their search continues.

Morris was last seen Aug. 30 walking into a parking garage near The Shops at Legacy in Plano.

Surveillance footage from the parking garage showed a man later identified as Arochi accompanying her into the garage.

His vehicle is later seen driving out of the garage, but there was no sign of Morris. Arochi, in a previous interview with NBC 5, said he didn’t see where Morris went and had nothing to do with her disappearance.
