The Lawrenceburg police department have issued a a warning that there is a caller tells the possible victim that they are law enforcement and that they’ve missed jury duty on a specific date and now there’s a warrant out for their arrest. The potential victim is then told that they can avoid going to jail by sending a specified amount of money to pay the bond.
Law enforcement will NEVER call you and ask for money for bonds or issue a warrant over the phone.

These scams are designed to prey on fears and can be very anxiety provoking.
It is very important to remember to never give money to a company with which you are not familiar, even if they say they are authorities. If you are concerned, a simple call to your local authority should clear up any confusion.
