A 50-year-old man already in state prison was sentenced to 2½ to 5 years in prison for identity theft, Albany County prosecutors said Thursday.
Tyrone Allington pleaded guilty in December to the felony charge, admitting that in September 2013 he used personal identifying information of another person including a Social Security number, District Attorney David Soares’ office said. Allington forged the signature to get an $8,000 loan from a bank in Colonie.
