Police are searching for a teenage girl who went missing yesterday from her West Garfield Park neighborhood home.
Makalin Cantre, 15, was last seen Thursday near her home in the 3100 block of West Flournoy, according to a missing person alert from Chicago Police.
Cantre is described as a 5-foot-1, 98-pound black girl with a birthmark on her lower back. She was last seen wearing a white jacket with vertical purple stripes; a turquoise Aeropostale sweater; white pajama pants with pink and purple hearts and stars; and brown boots with fur, “similar to Uggs,” the alert said.
She used to live on the Southwest Side and has been known to spend time on Kedzie between 54th and 63rd streets.
Anyone with information on her whereabouts should call Area North detectives at (312) 744-8200.
