Wrongful Death Wanted OH Murder Suspect Accused of Robbery in KY

The man wanted in connection with the deaths of an Ohio couple is now accused of crime sprees in several states including Kentucky.

Police are searching for Robert Clark. The story began nearly two weeks ago when 88-year-old Doyle Chumney and his 79-year-old wife Lillian were reported missing in Ohio. The next the couple was found dead in their car which has been set on fire.

One man, Jeffery Stewart, has been charged in the murder but Clark remains at large and police say he has been committing robberies. He was caught on camera committing robberies with two other suspects in Virginia, West Virginia, The Carolinas, Georgia and Kentucky.

“They held the clerks at gunpoint. One of them had a shotgun. It appears to be a sawed off shotgun, and another one had a semi-automatic firearm. They held the store up and got away with approximately 8500 dollars worth of cash and merchandise,” says Greg Long, describing the Kentucky robbery.

Investigators have not said where in Kentucky the crime or crimes took place. They do say that Clark and the other two suspects are believed to be in a Dodge mini-van.

They are considered armed and dangerous.
