Wrongful Death Arrest Made in Death of Missing Lexington Woman

Police have made an arrest in a homicide investigation.

Sources tell LEX 18 that the investigation is in relation to the death of a missing Lexington woman whose dismembered body parts were found in different counties.
Goldia Massey was reported missing in October of 2014. Her torso washed up on the banks of the Kentucky River in Jessamine County in December.

Her severed arm was found a month earlier in Henry County.

The home is currently taped off and neighbors tell LEX 18 that a vehicle was towed from the scene.

Just after 1 p.m. Massey’s boyfriend, Paris Charles, was lodged in the Fayette County Detention and charged with murder and abuse of a corpse. Police have confirmed they were at the home executing a search warrant.

Officials have since cleared the scene.

Detectives searched a Lexington duplex beginning Tuesday morning, where they were seen taking evidence. Two dogs at the house were also taken away by animal control.

Goldia Massey’s son Zachariah Massey told Hannah Mordoh that he is ready to forgive only minutes after he learned the news.
