A former state mine inspector is expected to plead guilty to one count of bribery later this month.

According to court documents, Kelly Shortridge filed a motion in court last week for a change of plea hearing. Today, a Federal judge scheduled that hearing for March 18. Shortridge is accused of taking money from former State Representative Keith Hall to overlook safety and environmental shortcomings at mine sites Hall owned.
Hall is also charged. He is scheduled to go to trial April 20.
