Wrongful Death Man Accused of Killing Pizza Delivery Driver Pleads Not Guilty

The man accused of stabbing a pizza delivery driver to death pleaded not guilty to charges of murder and robbery.

Antonio Lewis faced a judge in a Fayette County courtroom Tuesday afternoon. He’s accused in the stabbing death of Salahuddin Jitmoud. The judge did not give Lewis bond. He will be appointed a public defender.

Lewis’ family was in court and they told LEX 18’s Josh Breslow that they believe that Lewis is innocent. Lewis is a resident at the apartment complex where the murder took place. Neighbors described Lewis as a quiet individual.

Lewis does have a previous criminal record.

He will be in court again on Thursday May 7.
