Waldie had a scheduled visitation May 1 with his daughter and was supposed to return her at 6:30 p.m. Sunday. When he failed to return Grace, her mother called Waldie’s family and was told he was gone and they probably wouldn’t see him again because of her. The mother and law enforcement have repeatedly tried t

o contact Waldie via text message and phone calls. Grace’s mother told police this is unusual behavior. However, she did tell police he has previously threatened to take Grace away so she could never see her again.
The mother also stated that she discovered on Tuesday that Waldie had recently quit his job.
The parents were scheduled for a July 23 court date in Clackamas County for a possible modification to their custody agreement.
Waldie has lived at multiple locations in Clackamas County but his current residence is unknown.
Anyone having information concerning Michael Waldie’s should call the Mount Angel Police Department at 503-845-9294.
