A Pike County woman has been sentenced in a crash that killed a small child.
31-year-old Katherine Kilgore received the maximum sentence for her role in the crash that killed a 6-year-old girl, according to the Appalachian News Express. Kilgore was found guilty on one count of felony reckless homicide.

The court says that Kilgore was driving aggressively leading up to a 2014 head-on crash. 6-year-old Kyla Fouts was killed and Fouts’ mother and brother were injured.
Kilgore received five years in prison.
