Missing Person Robert Wayne Pippin of Abermarle County, VA

Albemarle County police are seeking the public’s assistance in finding a missing person who was last seen Sunday.

According to county police spokeswoman Carter Johnson, Robert Wayne Pippin was last seen at 5:30 p.m. Sunday leaving his home on Rolling Road in Scottsville to head to a store in Ruckersville. Officials said Pippin never made it to his destination and has not been seen since.

Pippin is a 55-year-old white male with brown hair and brown eyes. He is 6 feet tall and weighs 235 pounds. He was wearing jeans, a T-shirt and a baseball cap at the time of his disappearance.

Pippin was last seen driving a 1997 Ford Ranger with a Virginia license plate that reads GASMAN2.

No foul play is suspected in Pippin’s disappearance, but officials said Pippin requires medication for health conditions.

Police request that anyone with information about Pippin’s disappearance call police Detective Phil Giles at 531-5389 or Crimestoppers at 977-4000.
